Steven Matz (5-6) was saddled with the loss Monday, allowing seven runs on 10 hits (including three home runs) and three walks over 4.1 innings while striking out one.

The Phillies and the Mets combined for eight home runs on Monday night, and Matz served up two in the first inning, and one more in the fifth. Home runs have been a major issue for Matz this season, and he now sports a brutal 2.1 HR/9 and a 4.85 ERA. He'll try to get back on track in his next start, scheduled to come Sunday at home against Atlanta.
