Jeremy Jeffress allowed one run on one hit and one walk in one inning Friday. He struck out one and was saddled with the loss.

Jeffress was called upon in a tie game in the ninth inning, and he coughed up the game winning run by walking the second batter he faced, then allowing a hit to the following batter. Jeffress is settled in as the Brewers' setup man behind Josh Hader, but has allowed earned runs in four of his past five appearances.
