Miles Mikolas goes six innings in no-decision Sunday

by Connor Rooney | Cardinals Correspondent | Mon, Jul 1st 10:28am EDT

Miles Mikolas (5-8) allowed three runs on eight hits across six innings against the Padres on Sunday. He struck out four and did not factor into the decision.

Fantasy Impact:

Mikolas got in trouble early after surrendering a two-run home run to Manny Machado in the first inning, but he settled in nicely after that. Mikolas was in typical form Sunday night, only striking out four, but limiting the damage by only allowing two extra-base hits and walking none. Overall, Mikolas has been a bit of a disappointment after a breakout 2018: he's compiled a 4.34 ERA and 1.25 WHIP through 17 starts. He'll finish up the first half of the season in his next start, which will come on Saturday on the road against the Giants.
