Jeff Samardzija earned the win on Monday in San Diego, tossing eight innings of two-run ball while allowing five hits and two walks while striking out six.
Fantasy Impact:
It might've been Samardzija's best start of the year. He continues to eat innings and be a decent, if unspectacular, fantasy option this season. The 34-year-old gets the Cardinals on Sunday in his final start before the All-Star break.
