Luke Voit (abdominal) was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 30. (New York Yankees)
Fantasy Impact:
Voit left Saturday's game against the Red Sox in London with abdominal tightness, and he did not play in Sunday's contest. Although it's not clear how long Voit will need to recover, he is eligible to be activated on July 12. This may be a case where the Yankees are leveraging the extra rest afforded to them by the All-Star break to ensure that Voit can fully heal before the second half of the season starts. Either D.J. LeMahieu or Edwin Encarnacion will likely fill in for Voit at first base.
