Julio Teheran bounces back with six scoreless innings Friday

by Mike Maher | Cubs Correspondent | Sat, Jul 6th 7:43am EDT

Braves starter Julio Teheran tossed six shutout innings in a no-decision against the Miami Marlins on Friday, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out six.

Fantasy Impact:

Teheran had been trending in the wrong direction over the last few weeks for the Braves. After a very strong start to the season, the young right-hander had allowed 15 earned runs over his last 11 1/3 innings heading into Friday’s start. The underlying metrics had indicated that regression was coming for Teheran, mostly due to a high BB/9 and average strikeout numbers. He will now take a 3.75 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and 91 strikeouts over 100 2/3 innings.
