Christian Yelich (back) will not participate in the Home Run Derby on Monday night due to a lingering back injury. (MLB on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Initial reports indicated that Yelich was missing Sunday's game for regular rest, but now it appears he may be dealing with a back injury. Yelich is also scheduled to start in Tuesday's All-Star game, and there has been no indication that he won't play then. He is day-to-day for now, but is likely just being cautious in skipping the derby. Matt Chapman will replace Yelich in Monday's home run derby.
