Mike Leake (7-8) was charged with the loss surrendering seven runs (four earned) on eight hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 2/3 of an inning in Friday's 13-0 loss to the Angels.
Fantasy Impact:
Leake could not get out of the first inning and only threw 47 pitches in Friday's loss. This is bit of a surprise, as he threw 7 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts in his last outing against the Cardinals before the All-Star break. Leake owns a 4.60 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 83:17 K:BB in 115 1/3 innings pitched for the Mariners this season. Leake's next scheduled start is Friday, at home against the Angels.
