Zac Gallen walks five in no-decision Saturday

by Mike Maher | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sun, Jul 14th 9:08am EDT

Marlins starter Zac Gallen allowed two earned runs on four hits and five walks while striking out five over five innings in a no-decision against the New York Mets on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Walks were the story of the day for Gallen as he issued five free passes over five innings. He has now walked 10 batters over his first 17 innings in a trend that cannot continue if he is going to have success at the major league level. He has struck out 21 batters over that span, however. He will now take a 4.24 ERA into his next start against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
