Griffin Canning yielded three runs on two hits, striking out two and walking six in Monday's 9-6 win over the Astros. He did not factor into the decision.

Canning issued a season-high six walks and left the game after throwing only 50 pitches. He was also tagged for six runs in his previous starts against the Rangers and has seen his ERA rise from 3.79 to 4.75 on the season. Canning owns a 4.75 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 71 strikeouts in 66 1/3 innings pitched during that stretch. His next scheduled start is Saturday, away against the Mariners.
