Framber Valdez takes the loss as primary pitcher

by Brad Camara | Astros Correspondent | Tue, Jul 16th 6:12am EDT

Framber Valdez (3-6) allowed seven earned runs on six hits over four innings, walking four, and striking out four in Monday's 9-6 loss to the Angels. He earned his sixth loss of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Valdez entered the game behind opener Josh James and was shelled for seven earned runs in four innings. He left the game after only throwing 85 pitches. Valdez owns 5.58 ERA, a 1.58 WHIP and a 45:26 K:BB in 50 innings for the Astros this season. He is currently not scheduled to start, and could be out of the mix in the rotation if the poor outings continue.
