Hector Neris blows fourth save Tuesday

by Mike Maher | Cubs Correspondent | Wed, Jul 17th 9:13am EDT

Phillies closer Hector Neris allowed three earned runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one over 1/3 of an inning to blow his fourth save of the season on Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Fantasy Impact:

Neris allowed a three-run home run to blow the save but was bailed out when the Phillies scored three runs in the bottom of the nine to earn the win. Neris has now allowed six earned runs over his last four appearances and could be losing his hold on the closer's job in Philadelphia, especially if they acquire reinforcements heading into the trade deadline.
