Phillies starter Zach Eflin allowed three earned runs on five hits and no walks while striking out three over four innings in Saturday's loss to the Pirates. The loss drops him to 7-10 on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Eflin has now lost three straight starts and five of his last six decisions while seeing his ERA jump from 2.81 to 4.25 over that span. He has been regressing to where the underlying metrics were saying he should be earlier in the season, and his 4.25 ERA now more closely resembles his 4.57 FIP. He is scheduled to take on the white-hot Braves in his next start, and fantasy owners with deeper benches might want to sit this one out while those with smaller rosters might want to start considering other options.
