Noah Syndergaard walks five in loss to Padres

by Mike Maher | Thu, Jul 25th 9:19am EDT

Mets starter Noah Syndergaard allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits and five walks while striking out eight over seven innings in a loss to the Padres on Wednesday. The loss drops him to 7-5 on the year.

Fantasy Impact:

The five walks are what jumps out the most for Syndergaard, who had been pitching better of late. He did manage to toss his third straight quality start since one of the four runs allowed was unearned, and he will look to keep that streak going when he takes a 4.33 ERA into his next start against the White Sox in Chicago.
