Marlins starter Caleb Smith allowed four earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out nine over seven innings to earn his seventh win over the season on Monday against the Diamondbacks.
Fantasy Impact:
Smith has now won four straight decisions and has not lost a start since June 6, his last start before landing on the disabled list. He now has a 3.43 ERA and 119 strikeouts over 97 innings and has been mentioned in recent trade rumors leading up to Wednesday's deadline. If he remains with the Marlins, his next start should come against the Rays in Tampa Bay.
