Edwin Diaz blows fifth save Tuesday

by Mike Maher | Mets Correspondent | Wed, Jul 31st 9:05am EDT

Mets closer Edwin Diaz blew his fifth save of the season in Tuesday's win over the White Sox, allowing one earned run on two walks while striking out two. He also hit a batter and threw a wild pitch.

Fantasy Impact:

Diaz was not impressive on Tuesday with many opposing tames watching him as a potential trade deadline candidate. He struggled mightily with his control and allowed an earned run without allowing a hit. He remains linked to several trade rumors, but it is unclear if the Mets would be willing to sell low on the struggling reliever less than a year after they paid a premium to acquire him.
