The Cubs have traded Martin Maldonado to the Astros in exchange for Tony Kemp. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Cubs acquired Maldonado from the Royals recently to give them another able body while Willson Contreras was on the IL. Maldonado became expendable once Contreras got healthy, and will now slide into the backup role behind Robinson Chirinos. He continues to have no fantasy value.
