Zac Gallen traded to Arizona Diamondbacks

Marlins starting pitcher and highly-rated prospect Zac Gallen has been traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks for shortstop prospect Jazz Chisholm. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is a major deal that no one saw coming, as the Marlins and Diamondbacks are swapping young players during the trade deadline despite neither competing for a playoff spot this season. Gallen has a 2.72 ERA over 36 1/3 innings this season, while Chisholm has 18 home runs but a .204 batting average through 89 games in Double-A. Expect Gallen to remain in the rotation for the Diamondbacks, with decreased value for a worse home ballpark but increased value for playing for a slightly better team.
