Felipe Vazquez struck out one in a non-save situation Friday, where he tossed a perfect inning.
Fantasy Impact:
Vazquez hadn't appeared since July 25, so he was overdue for an appearance. With the Pirates scuffling as of late, he hasn't had the opportunity to add to his 21 save total recently. Vazquez has an elite 1.83 ERA with 69 strikeouts in 44.1 innings. He'll obviously remain the Pirates' closer for the remainder of the season, since he wasn't dealt to a contending team at the deadline.
