Martin Maldonado smacks solo shot in win Friday

by Brad Camara | White Sox Correspondent | Sat, Aug 3rd 9:35am EDT

Martin Maldonado went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two runs scored, and a walk in Friday’s 10-2 win over the Mariners.

Fantasy Impact:

Maldonado started his second consecutive game and provided the third of six Astros homers on the night. He is not expected to overtake Robinson Chirinos for the majority of starts, but provides solid depth at the catcher position. Maldonado has hit seven home runs, with 18 RBI and 29 runs scored in 80 games between the Royals, Cubs, and Astros this season.
