by Brad Camara | Wed, Aug 7th 12:36pm EDT

Wade LeBlanc (6-5) allowed five runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five in five innings in Tuesday’s 9-4 loss to the Padres. He took his fifth loss of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Serving as the primary pitcher behind Matt Wisler, he entered the game in the second inning and retired nine out of the first 10 batters he faced. He unraveled in the fifth, allowing four hits, including a two-run home run to Fernando Tatis. He owns a 5.38 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 92 innings. He is scheduled to pitch Sunday against the Rays, but it’s not clear if he will start or be used an opener.
