Homer Bailey (9-8) allowed seven runs on six hits while striking out none through 4 2/3 innings in Wednesday's 10-1 loss to the Cubs. He took his eighth of the season.

Bailey kept the Cubs off the board through three innings, but then the flood gates opened. He did threw 46 of 73 pitches for strikes before being chased. Bailey owns a 5.54 ERA and 101:46 K:BB through 115 1/3 innings this season. His next scheduled start is Wednesday, away against the Giants.
