Kansas City Royals left-hander Mike Montgomery was dominant in a 7-0 win over the Tigers on Saturday. Montgomery spun seven scoreless innings while striking out 12.

Sure, the effort came against a weak Detroit lineup but Montgomery's performance is impressive nonetheless. Montgomery now has a 5.19 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, and 42 strikeouts in 50 1/3 innings of work. He will look to keep rolling against the Mets in his next start.
