Anthony DeSclafani shaky as Reds lose to Nationals

by Brandon Plutner | Twins Correspondent | Mon, Aug 12th 10:18pm EDT

Anthony DeSclafani surrendered six earned runs in four innings as the Reds lost to the Nationals 7-6.

Fantasy Impact:

It's been a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde type of season for DeSclafani, as he drops to 7-7 with the loss. In April and May, the righty went 2-3 with a 4.97 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 9.11. K/9 and 2.32 HR/9 across 11 starts. In June and July, he posted a 4-2 record with a 2.94 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 10.10 K/9 and 0.92 HR/9 across 9 starts. However, DeSclafani seems to have reverted back to his early season struggles, sporting an 8.36 ERA in three August starts. He'll look to turn it around as the Reds attempt to stay within striking distance of an NL Wild Card spot.
