Matt Harvey agrees to minor league deal with Athletics

Free-agent pitcher Matt Harvey has agreed to a minor-league deal with the Oakland Athletics, according to MLB insider on Twitter. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Harvey agreed to a one-year deal with the Angels this past offseason but was designated for assignment near the end of July after pitching to a 7.09 ERA. There were rumors that some teams were interested in Harvey for a potential bullpen role, but it isn't clear what his potential role with the Angels could be if and when he is called up to the big league club.
