Hansel Robles notches 17th save Thursday
by Brad Camara | Fri, Aug 16th 6:29am EDT
Hansel Robles allowed one run on two hits while striking out one in 2/3 of an inning in Thursday's 8-7 win over the White Sox. He picked up his 17th save of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
With one out, Robles came into the ninth inning to replace Trevor Cahill, who had given up a pair of runs to cut the Angels lead to 8-5. The White Sox got to Robles right away with a two-pitch, two-run home run by Welington Castillo, making it a one-run game. He settled down after that, and was able to retire the rest of the order on route to his 17th save of the season. Robles owns a 2.98 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with 53 strikeouts through 54 1/3 innings this season.
