Lorenzo Cain (oblique) was unavailable for Sunday’s game against the Nationals with an oblique tweak and is expected to miss Monday’s contest against the Cardinals. (Tom Haudricourt on Twitter)

Cain has sat out the last two contests, as it was revealed he is dealing with an oblique injury. The severity of the issue is not known at this time, but the Brewers are optimistic he will avoid a trip to the injured list. The Brewers are hoping he will return for Tuesday’s game against the Cardinals.
