Cal Quantrill was impressive once again on Tuesday versus the Reds, allowing three runs on five hits over six innings pitched.
Quantrill struck out nine and walked none in the quality start, although he wound up taking the loss as the San Diego offense couldn't muster much run support. Quantrill now owns a 1.79 ERA over his last 40 1/3 innings pitched, a span in which he has a 34/6 K/BB ratio. There isn't a ton of strikeout upside here but Quantrill should be owned everywhere now. He gets the Dodgers at home next.
