Matt Magill blows first save in loss Wednesday
by Brad Camara | Wed, Aug 21st 9:54pm EDT
Matt Magill (3-1) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while not recording a single out in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Rays. He took his first loss of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Magill imploded in the ninth by allowing a solo shot to Kevin Kiermaier, then proceeded to loaded the bases, and finally tossed a wild pitch allowing Willy Adames to score the game-winning run. Entering Wednesday's contest, Magill had not allowed an earned run in his last six games. He owns a 4.54 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 39 2/3 innings. Magill is only worth holding onto in fantasy if your desperate for saves.
