Aaron Brooks tossed six shutout innings, allowing only two hits with one walk and six strikeouts to earn a victory against the Nationals on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
This performance was a surprise as Brooks has been bad this season. On the year the 29-year-old is now 4-7 with a 5.79 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 71 strikeouts in 88 2/3 innings across 24 appearances, including 15 starts this season with the Athletics and Orioles. Brooks will need another couple of good outings before fantasy owners should trust picking him up.
