Adam Wainwright (10-9) earned the win Monday against the Giants, allowing no runs on four hits and no walks across seven innings. He struck out one.

Wainwright was incredibly efficient Monday, keeping the Giants off balance and forcing weak contact. This was a nice bounce-back performance for Wainwright, who had allowed multiple runs in three consecutive games prior to Monday. On the season, he owns a 4.30 ERA and 1.42 WHIP. He also has 131 strikeouts in 142.1 innings. He lines up to face the Pirates on the road next on Saturday.
