Jose Suarez allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two through five 1/3 innings in Thursday's 10-6 loss to the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.

Suarez followed opener Luke Bard after being used as a traditional starter in each of his last two outings. He allowed two runs in five 1/3 innings, lowering his ERA from 6.71 to 6.45. Suarez owns a 6.45 ERA with a 60:20 K:BB ratio through 68 1/3 innings this season. His next scheduled outing is Tuesday, home against the Indians.
