Jeff Samardzija improved to 10-11 on Friday in Los Angeles, allowing three runs on five hits over six innings pitched.
Fantasy Impact:
Samardzija struck out three and didn't walk anyone in the outing. The 34-year-old gave up a couple of homers but ultimately didn't let it kill his stat line. It was a nice bounce back from an an uncharacteristic six-run outing last time out. Samardzija will now carry a 3.64 ERA into a must-start matchup versus the Pirates next time out.
