Although this type of suspension is usually 80 games, Pineda reportedly made a compelling case that the banned diuretic he used was not a masking agent and, therefore, his ban was lowered to 60 games on appeal. Regardless, Pineda's season is over, which is a huge blow for the contending Twins. It's unclear who will take his spot in the rotation, but Pineda can be dropped in all formats.
