Christian Yelich leaves game after fouling ball off knee Tuesday

by Mike Maher | Brewers Correspondent | Tue, Sep 10th 7:35pm EDT

Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich left Tuesday night’s game at against the Marlins after fouling a ball off his right knee during his first at-bat. He stayed down on the ground for several minutes before eventually being able to walk off under his own power. (Todd Rosiak on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

While it is a good sign that Yelich was eventually able to walk off on his own, he appeared to be in a lot of pain and stayed down on the ground for several minutes. We have seen players like Brandon Lowe and Yandy Diaz miss months this season after fouling balls off of their own legs/feet, so fantasy owners should continue holding their breath until more information is available. Hopefully, his removal was precautionary and further tests do not reveal a significant injury.
