Christian Yelich out for season after fracturing kneecap

Christian Yelich will miss the remainder of the season after fracturing his right kneecap in Tuesday's game against the Marlins. (Milwaukee Brewers on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Yelich fouled a ball off his knee and immediately looked seriously injured, and the worst is now confirmed. It's a devastating blow to the Brewers as they try to chase down a playoff spot, to fantasy owners, and to Yelich himself. Yelich's dynasty league value should take a small hit, as a lengthy recovery from the injury may impact his availability for the start of next season. As for his replacement, Ben Gamel, Trent Grisham, and Hernan Perez are likely to see the majority of the time in the outfield.
