Fantasy Impact:

It was originally reported that Encarnacion exited Thursday’s game due to a wrist injury, but it was later diagnosed as a strained oblique. He will head back to New York to undergo further evaluation. Given the recovery timeline for oblique injuries, Encarnacion could miss the remainder of the season. Mike Ford should see some extra at-bats while Encarnacion is out.
