Cole Hamels (7-7) allowed one run on four hits and four walks while striking out six through four 1/3 innings in Wednesday’s 4-0 loss to the Padres. He took his seventh loss of the season.

Hamels threw four scoreless innings before running into trouble in the fifth. He only threw 91 pitches before exiting. Hamels has endured a rough stretch recently, he is sporting 7.58 ERA in his last seven starts. His next scheduled start is Monday, home against the Reds.
