Detroit Tigers left-hander Matthew Boyd pitched five innings in a 10-4 loss to the Yankees in the first game of a Thursday doubleheader. Boyd allowed four runs (two earned) while striking out three and walking four.

Fantasy Impact:

Boyd wasn't especially sharp, needing 92 pitches to get through the fifth. The veteran hurler took the loss, dropping his record to 8-11 with a 4.54 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 228 strikeouts in 176 1/3 innings of work.
