Cleveland Indians right-hander Shane Bieber pitched well in a 5-2 win over the Phillies on Friday. Bieber allowed two runs over 7 1/3 innings while striking out seven.
The young ace had a rough fifth inning but was dominant otherwise. He now has a 15-7 record, 3.23 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and 252 strikeouts in 208 2/3 innings of work. He will make his final regular-season start against the White Sox on Thursday.
