Nationals starter Max Scherzer has been scratched from his Game 5 World Series start against the Houston Astros due to back spasms, according to multiple reports. Joe Ross will start for Washington. (Joel Sherman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Scherzer dealt with back issues for much of the season, but there had not been any mention of him dealing with back issues during the postseason. He took the win in Game 1 against the Astros, striking out seven while allowing two runs over five innings.
