Elvis Andrus unlikely to play in Spring training opener

Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus is dealing with some knee soreness and will likely be held out of the Spring Training opener because of it. The team and Andrus have said it is not serious. (Jeff Wilson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The injury is said to not be a major concern but if it becomes serious, this would be a hinderance in Andrus' much needed bounce back year. This season was a down year for ndrus, as he hit .263, with only a .647 OPS, adding only two home runs and 41 RBI. Most alarmingly for his owners, he only had 27 stolen bases. Those statistics were no where near the value that drafters expected from him. He has the potential to deliver a big 2015 performance with a healthy team around him but be sure to temper expectations and keep tabs on his injury.
