Rendon rejected a one year, 17.8 million qualifying offer. The Nationals will receive draft-pick compensation if he signs elsewhere. Rendon was the NL MVP runner-up and had a terrific 2019 campaign, slashing .319/.412/.598 with 34 home runs, 126 RBI, 117 runs and five stolen bases across 146 games.
