Yan Gomes signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Nationals on Wednesday. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Nationals declined his $9 million dollar option earlier in the off-season. The team brought him back into the fold and he will once again split catching duties with Kurt Suzuki. He slashed .223/.316/.389 with 12 home runs, 43 RBI and 36 runs scored across 358 plate appearances for the Nationals in 2019. Due to Gomes heavy lefty/righty splits, he should only be drafted in two-catcher formats.
