This would be a boon to Perez's fantasy value, as it would add flexibility to allow him to likely play more during the season while maintaining his catcher eligibility. If this comes to fruition, Perez could push into the top-5 at the position. Currently, he seems like a lock to go as a top-10 catcher in 2020 fantasy drafts even coming off his injury.
