Ryan Howard goes 0-fo-3 against Blue Jays

by Kerry Kauffman | Sat, Mar 7th 4:19pm EST

The Philadelphia Phillies managed just 6 hits against the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, losing the game 4-2. Ryan Howard is one player who has struggled since his 2-for-2 start this spring. He went 0-for-3 and is hitless in his last 8 at bats. Howard's average stands at .200 in Grapefruit League play.

Fantasy Impact:

While Howard is currently the starting first baseman for the Phillies, there's no question the team wishes to move him at some point. Howard has struggled the past three seasons since his Achilles injury. Last season Howard hit 23 home runs but his batting average plummeted. While still a decent power option, Howard can no longer be considered one of the top sluggers in the game.
