Alex Cora out as Red Sox manager

The Boston Red Sox and manager Alex Cora have parted ways on Tuesday. (Boston Red Sox on Twitter )

in a statement released by the Red Sox, “we agreed today that parting ways was the best thing for the organization. I do not want to be a distraction to the Red Sox as they move forward.” Cora, who was a bench coach for the Astros in 2017, played a key role in Houston illegally stealing signs that year. He is also accused of doing the same thing for the Red Sox in 2018. Cora has yet to be penalized from Major League Baseball, but expect the former Red Sox manager’s punishment to be announced soon.
