Odubel Herrera cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday, two days after being designated for assignment. The former National League All-Star served an 85-game suspension last year for violating MLB's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse policy. It has become increasingly difficult to imagine Herrera playing for the Phillies again. (MLB.com)
Herrera's last two seasons have been less than stellar which is all the more reason for Philadelphia to want to move on. Herrera hit .249 with a .711 OPS and 88 OPS+ from 2018-19. He had a .629 OPS in 39 games before his suspension last season.
