Alex Verdugo (back) dealing with a stress fracture

Red Sox manager Ron Roenicke confirmed that Alex Verdugo's back injury is a stress fracture. (Ian Browne on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Red Sox knew about this issue prior to trading for Verdugo and don't expect it to be a long-term concern. Roenicke also acknowledged that even if things go perfectly that Verdugo likely won't be ready for Opening Day. We should continue getting updates on his status throughout spring training.
