Alex Wood showing increased velocity this Spring

Fantasy Impact:
Wood, like a few of his Dodger teammates, worked out with representatives from Driveline Baseball this winter, and it's resulted in an uptick in velocity for the left-hander. Wood averaged 89.9 mph on his fastball in 2019, and his strikeout rate dipped to 19.6 percent. Wood has hinted at him serving as the Dodgers' fifth starter in 2020, and he has some fantasy sleeper appeal if his increased velocity holds up.
